DeAngelis Hotels & Investments is seeking to develop a new hotel at Casula, by removing an existing hotel liquor licence, from the Commercial Hotel from 227 Bigge Street, Liverpool to the site at 467 Hume Highway.
The proposal includes the demolition of the existing Fontainebleau Motor Inn.
The development of the 11,650-square-metre site includes a single storey building with use and fit out of the premises as a hotel, with a gross floor area 1975 square metres.
The single storey building would comprise a public bar, restaurant/bistro area with outdoor restaurant seating, an outdoor play ground area, a fully enclosed kitchen and a gaming room.
DeAngelis Hotels & Investments first sought approval for the redevelopment of the Fontainebleau Motor Inn in 2013 – that received 2,000 objections.
The proposed new plans have been redesigned to ensure appropriate separation of the hotel building from nearby residents, with incorporation of late night management strategies in place to ensure the hotel does not negatively impact on the local amenity.
