Mayor thanks Govt for Bella Vista Farm funding

HILLS Shire Mayor Dr Michelle Byrne has congratulated and thanked Baulkham Hills State MP David Elliott on his successful application for partial funding of a proposed stage at Bella Vista Farm Park.

NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell has given the green light for up to $123,550 worth of funding for the stage, which is expected to cost around $500,000.

“This is fantastic news and it’s great to see the NSW Government helping The Hills Shire Council invest in local performing arts infrastructure,” Mayor Byrne said.

“We’re happy to finally have approval from the NSW Heritage Council for the construction of this stage. It will attract more performing arts acts to Bella Vista Farm Park and more visitors to the Sydney Hills.”

“We’re really excited about this project which will further enhance our most valued historical precinct into a bona fide performing arts venue.”

“We’ve seen some fantastic events at Bella Vista Farm Park recently. The annual Shakespeare in the Park series continues to grow in popularity and the Sydney Country Music Festival was a really fantastic event.”

“We’re hoping to unlock the huge potential of Bella Vista Farm Park and this stage will help us do that.”
