Iconic properties sold
THE 37-suite Echo Point Motor Inn, in Katoomba has sold for $1.4 million, a steep discount to its trading price of $2.15 million in 2004, according to The Australian Financial Review. In June, the Hotel Gearin sold for $1.925 million, well below the $4.2 million paid in 2005.
Universities reject offers at Liverpool
PLANS to expand tertiary education in the Liverpool area have been rejected.
Liverpool City Council approached the University of NSW, the University of Sydney and the University of Western Sydney but none expressed any immediate interest in establishing a local campus.
Management students take on world
A GROUP of enterprising management students from the University of Western Sydney will represent Australia at the Global University Final, in Amsterdam, after winning the title of Australian University Champion in Supply Chain Management.
