EMPLOYMENT HUBS ARE GROWING

THE Hills is home to a number of growing employment hubs including the Norwest Business Park, Castle Hill Town Centre and Rouse Hill Town Centre. Norwest Business Park has already grown to accommodate over 20,000 employees with expansion expected to increase to over 35,000 employees, according to Sophie Chick, Savills head of residential research

GOVT TO BUY DJs CARPARK FOR MUSEUM

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said the government would buy the former old David Jones carpark, on the foreshore of the Parramatta River, from Parramatta City Council for $140M for the relocation of the Powerhouse Museum from Ultimo. Council use the money to upgrade the Riverside Theatre and create a dedicated Western Sydney arts fund.

$300M CENTRE NOW FULLY LEASED

THE $30M, 5500-square-metre Werrington Park Corporate Centre is fully leased creating over 400 local jobs. The facility was jointly funded by the Commonwealth’s Suburban Jobs Program and Western Sydney University. The facility is a partnership between the university and Penrith Council.
