BDO LAUNCHES IN WESTERN SYDNEY

New Parramatta office home to 20 staff
BDO in Australia has expanded its presence in Greater Western Sydney (GWS) with the establishment of a new office at Parramatta.
The GWS office will provide a whole-of-firm service offering to the region and is a critical component of the firm’s national growth ambitions. The new office brings the total number of BDO offices across the country to 12.

BDO Sydney Office Managing Partner, Grant Saxon, said the establishment of the GWS office comes in response to the firm’s growth, client needs, and a desire to cement a market-leading position in the region.

“GWS is tipped to be the fastest growing economy in Australia over the next two decades and this is the first step in a long-term strategy to give us a physical presence that will allow us to connect more deeply with clients,” said Mr Saxon.

“With flexibility front of mind in a post-COVID environment, BDO’s GWS office will also provide an alternative location for staff to work flexibly from. Over time, we expect there will be a natural migration of many of our people who are residents in the region, and who want to work closer to home.

“The GWS office will also allow BDO to recruit directly from the large talent pool of professionals in the region, tapping into one of the youngest, fastest growing and most diverse populations in the nation,” he said.

The GWS office will initially host 20 partners and staff focussed on audit, tax, business services and advisory services. BDO’s ambition is to grow this capacity to around 100 people.

The establishment of the GWS office reinforces BDO’s position as the fastest growing mid-market firm in Australia, he said.

The new GWS office is at 32 Smith Street, Parramatta.
